Pre-application consultation is a key requirement for applications for Development Consent Orders [DCOs] for major infrastructure projects, and Equinor is undertaking a wide-ranging programme of consultations with the local communities.
During July and August 2020 Equinor undertook its first phase of community consultation; due to COVID-19, it included hosting a virtual exhibition to display all the project information and this was supported by:
The Consultation Summary Report associated with this first phase of consultation activity has now been published, and it can be viewed here
A period of statutory community consultation (Phase 2 Consultation) relating to the Sheringham Shoal Wind Farm Extension project (SEP) and the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm Extension project (DEP) was undertaken by Equinor from 29 April to 10 June 2021.
A community consultation leaflet explaining this process of consultation can be downloaded here, along with the associated feedback form here
There is also a consultation website at sepanddep.commonplace.is providing further project information and the opportunity to leave feedback online.
Due to on-going COVID-19 restrictions this Phase 2 consultation will not be able to set up direct meetings with stakeholders. Instead, it featured a virtual exhibition displaying all the latest project information (event.sepanddep.co.uk) supported by:
