Sheringham Shoal supports surf life saving in North Norfolk

A grant made by the Sheringham Shoal Community Fund earlier this year has enabled the North Norfolk Surf Life Saving Club [www.nnslsc.org.uk] in Cromer to pay for volunteer training and purchase a range of new equipment which will enable the Club to expand and train its junior membership.

Cromer and District Food Bank ‘electrified’ by Sheringham Shoal

Sheringham Shoal Community Fund [SSCF] has awarded a grant to the Cromer and District Food Bank [C&DFB] to enable the purchase of a Nissan e-NV 200 van. This economic work horse, which has been supplied and sponsored by the Nissan dealership Crayford and Abbs in Bodham, North Norfolk, will cut C&DFB‘s vehicle running costs significantly.

A UK first - Sheringham Shoal charters WaveCraft

The arrival of the WaveCraft vessel Umoe Firmus in the harbour at Wells-next-the-Sea at the end of February 2016 created quite a stir. Statkraft has appointed Adam Blake as Power Plant Manager for the Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm. He succeeds Jason Halsey, who moves within the organisation to a role where he will take the lead in the development of new renewable energy projects.

Sheringham Shoal Community Fund backs ‘Energy Rescuers’

The Sheringham Shoal Community Fund has awarded a grant of £7,000 to the Energy Rescuers project which is running educational children's workshops in 35 North Norfolk schools.
